has anyone seen such a cross before? tried googling but can't get any results...

my nasty female died awhile back, just wondering if such a cross will produce some interesting offsprings as it seems easier to get a female cuban than nasty around here..

any contributions will be great!! ;)

They're both in the same genus Nandopsis so I should imagine it's quite possible. Although as far as I'm aware there's no documented cases.

I wouldn't recommend doing it though. The two fish are very similar and I've actually been offered Tetracanthus as a replacement for Haitiensis from my LFS.

I think its cool that you are experimenting with these two. I'm amazed with how similar these two look when I saw them in your picture side by side. I personally would love to spawn a cuban female to my male Magma flowerhorn. But sadly Im pretty sure that the big kok gene would be nearly gone in their offspring.
