Black or Albino arowan

From what I read the black aro doesnt usually get drop eye. It also doesnt get as large as an albino silver. I would choose a black if I could. They are both probably over $200 where I'm from depending on size.

I personally would go albino
To me black and silver look too similar
A baby silver to the untrained eye could be confused with a black
I love the look of an albino once they get over 8 inches
It’s all personal preference and ultimately up to you
Can’t go wrong either way so keep googling pics and see what you really want
Like you my lfs are priced very high for any arrows
Silver 6-7 inch aski 60-70
Albino 6-7 asking 300-500
Blacks 6-7 asking 250
Jardini over 120 usually.



id suggest looking online maybe get a few fish and save on the shipping

Im sorry but Black Arowana don’t look anything like a silvers, especially when their small. When they are full grown Blacks will have gray scales and gold on the tips of their scales. They also have orange on the tips of their dorsal and anil fins.

A little over 10years ago when I was young, one of my lfs sold me a jardini for 50@4in but now prices of fish have gotten up =(

I know its all personal preference but if Im going to drop a good amount of money might as well get the one with the most vibrant color.....Im low key thinking of getting both if the wallet permits =(

Personally I'd take a regular black aro over any silver. I like the overall body shape more, slimmer and less bulky. Generally the eyes don't drop either. Other than some Asian aros this would be my favorite. Platinum Black Aro.

My petco only charges $90 for a jardini the same size.
