you think the oranda will get bullied out of feeding by the rainbows? i was hoping to buy one around 5-6" so he wouldnt be too helpless. how warm is too warm just out of curiosity?
Provided you stay away from 80 degrees for long periods you should be fine temp wise, and because rainbows swim faster than fancy goldfish just handfeed your goldfish, I doubt very much that either species will bully each other.

I don't see any problem. Comet goldfish will outeat Orandas and starve them, but rainbows only eat teeny pieces. The Oranda should be fine.

thanks everybody. this project is further down the road for sure, and i would have to relocate my sa community first. im surprised you don't see more rainbowfish/fancy goldfish tanks more often though.
