In the Axelrod book, there is a picture of a Black panaque with Blue eyes. Was wondering if anyone knew how to get a hold of one or had even seen them in the trade.

Regards,
Josh

They are actually grey in color and I used to see them all the time at every store about 15 - 20 years ago, now you never see them. Ruined natural habitat from what I heard, I have seen one or two for sale online for like $3500.00 They used to be $25 to $30

well their eyes' arent true blue.. their more like gray..

$3500 is a bit much, was/is that the one from River Wonders? In the UK a few have surfaced recently, new and old ones, between £400-600 for a 14" -16". I was too late on a bargain 12" for £175.

blue eyed panaque

used to real common, not all that common now, and very expensive

I had one back in the 90's, when Wal-mart sold them for $12...really loved that fish...was so friendly and playful. Sad to hear that they are so rare now:(.
