Did you read the original post? The UN (united nations) was looking into the character and the tradition to see if its racial insensitive. The holiday is only celebrated in Netherlands and he's wondering why its suddenly under fire when they've been celebrating this holiday with this character forever

yes I read it, and other than the UN investigation it didn't translate well for me (see my edit of previous post )..I thought this was a new take on SANTA CLAUS

There was one person over here at my job that said that almost the entire world sees this as racist except for the Dutch because we never thought of it way.
I know how absurd that sounds, but I never saw black pete as a black person like from Africa because well they look different.
I do like the comment saying that in 2013 we should be able to celebrate it. That's looking at it from a different perspective. Instead of saying no you can't do this anymore, how about shouldn't we have evolved past this kind of problems by now.

People have forgot the saying grow a thick skin.everytime there is something that someone don't like they want it done away with,changed or made to reflect there preference.there is to much PC today and not enough keeping there nose out of others business and focusing on there own life and problems.
My neighbor pisses me off by dumping cut wood and stacking it all along one section of my driveway where our land touch.i then tell myself it's not hurting me,impacting me or effecting me in anyway other than I don't like it or agree with it.its his land so deal with it and keep my nose on my side of the fence.
The final 1200 to 1500 feet of driveway we share he drives crazy fast on and I would prefer he drives slower so it's safer.someone lives at the main road said he locked his tires up and slid about 60 feet stoping in the middle of the main road.she would yell and scream at him she had small children playing and he needed to slow down.i think its dangerous but until he impacts me by almost hitting or hitting me I leave it alone.if she kept her child away from the road,put up a fence or done something on her own land she wouldn't need to yell for him to change on his because she didn't like his actions on his private land.
What happen to look the other way,stop listening or change the channel if you don't like it.now people prefer to cause a up roar at the next guys lawn being to tall while there own house hold is burning to the ground.its easier to fight others battle than focus on your own and ignore the idiot next door.
