Hi. I'm planning to get some wild 8 cm. Black Piranhas(Serrasalmus Rhombeus) based on what I have read they do better in solo tanks. Let's say I get 6 of these guys, can't I really put them all together in one tank? Thanks in advance.

Hello mate The Rhombeus is not the black Piranha Fella I have a picture of the black Piranha ( Serrasalmus Niger ) on my personal Gallery its too big to up load. Check it out mate.

But how come everytime I search it on google it turns up as black piranha....confused. :cry:

serra sp are solo fish

Yes, like they said, the Serrasalmus is a solitary species and only in the wild would they shoal. Either way, having one would be tight all by itself.

rhom = black piranha

its a common name for rhoms, there are many variants of rhoms however....highback, peruvian black, etc.....gets a little confusing

Kido - they are known as sloow growers. So get a bigger one if you can.
BTW - Ps are not exactly legal in PI are they? :uhoh: :D
