Just took my 75 gallon out of storage after a couple years and I noticed that the plastic trim separated from the glass a bit. Will I still be able to put water in it or will it need to be re sealed? The seal on the glass on the inside seems to be fine. Lemme know if you have any input thanks

It's usually just cosmetic anyway. I wouldn't worry.
Okay good wasn’t sure if it would be a problem or not. Going to be plasti dipping the tank black this week then filling it with water.

Be a good idea to silicone or super glue the plastic rim back on. It does reinforce & help stablize the integrity of the tank.

Manufactured tank trim really only does two things.
The bottom is to support the tank around the rim lifting the glass up off the surface it’s resting on to prevent pressure points from fracturing the bottom glass.
The top trim it there for supporting the lids if you use them and to provide a center brace (if the tank has one) from front to back preventing bowing that could fracture the front and back glass.
