you know this thread shows me the state of keepers on at this place. al has spent countless hours locating, funding and taking care of these top shelf rays. nothing at his place is sub par. he is the only guy that i know of that puts so much importance on his fish. there should be a bidding war goin on here, not some low ball offers. for the sake of the hobby and what he might have up his sleave, i hope these sell. on the other hand, im guessing that i might get to give the spa treatment to a couple, so maybe i dont want him to sell them.

Everyone wants to be the next big ray breeder but on the flip side they want it for free with no effort. Not too many buyers out there like us that take 18 hour round trip drives to pic up rays or pay big money to have a large ray shipped with no guarantee except a box of water and maybe a live ray if you are lucky.
To me having a healthy ray to start with is priceless..... I don't mind the gamble associated with WC skinny emaciated Marbles, as you're only out a few hundred bucks. Who the hell wants to gamble on $1K+ WC or freshly imported blackies? Not worth it plain and simple.
Contrary to going against the odds, of all the rays that I've sold and had to ship there's only been one incident resulting in a fatality and that was a aurnry lil male Marble that bit through over a dozen bags from the time he left my place to the time he arrived at destination. Problem was remedied immediately by using pond liner from there on. Since then not one single fatality...... YOUR avatar is a perfect example.
Even "Darkness" a ray that was simply too evil to keep with my lil mini Marbles is alive and well today halfway across the country thanks to such an experienced and skilled shipper. No sense in me trying to do it when I have someone willing to do it for me with over a decade of experience in shipping rays.
Also NOT gonna find a person willing to drive rays like I am.
