I was going to ... but then decided against it as I don't feel I have enough expierence in rays ... I already had them on the order... Pics sent to verify that they had them...but changed my mind since I want to get some more experience with "cheap rays" before I get some expensive ones :D

Sorry guys I checked back with my supplier and they are already gone... to Japan  it's only been about 3 days since I changed my mind  THOSE THINGS GO QUICK

So your supplier allready HAD black rays?

I think it was mentioned in one of the countless ray threads that 99% of the quota is already accounted for and should be going to Asia. I don't know how reliable that statement is or who the source is.

If you haven't noticed, this forum is a great way to create a "hype" eventhough it is not planned for or is the main purpose of creating a ray thread.

I guess sting rays are the new widebar (ST).

Biggest difference is that you cant breed widebars...

i dont think this shipment is gonna do anything for the prices...

I dont think any one thinks a leo will ever be as cheap as a motoro.

However, do you think the market IN THE US, will hold at current prices even if just say 50-100 came in? How long would it take some one to sell 50-100 fish at $1500ea?

Could be done in 2days to few Asian customers. JD- if u think every black ray that lands in US will be sold or stay here you are mistaken. Plus- the people with the money to even get attn of exporters and bring into US are already breeding and aren't going to scatter larger leos all over US to make few bucks off each.

So youre saying some importers may then export them to Asia?! Wow, they are crazy over there!

Kinda like trying to get a decent Marble........ EVEN if you're willing to pay double what most people will you're still only paying 1/2 what the people "over there" will. And in turn even though willing to spend more you're still just a pestering fly compared to the money that can be made by shipping "over there"

All goes back to that root of all evil.

No black rays have even been collected yet in Brazil yet alone shipped. The date is 11/15 and IBAMA is very strict about nothing being caught before that date or shipped out of brazil until that date. Some tried to start collecting early and were told to stop.
