Yeah prazi is a medication, praziquental. It's an anti-helmenthic. It kills worms. Most serras are wild caught, and most fish in the wild (virtually all) have GI parasites. Alot of people dose their QT tank with it, and keep their P's in there for a while as a prophylaxis. Parasites do slow down growth by leeching nutrients from the gastrointestinal mucosa. If your fish has worms, you could feed it all day, everyday, and the fish could still be starving. Starving slows down the growth rate of course.

I've only used it once, and within half an hour my fish started shedding worms from its anal orifice.
 
I really need to get some of prazi, next time when I go to SA I should pick up some....god knows when I'll be going.......
 
yea I know, but i don't feel like paying shipping unless it's that much cheaper.
