Black Ropefish?

Tezr and myself talked about these a while back, yes they are Typhlonectes natans.

Wouldn't it be sweet if they were melanistic ropes?? :D


I kept a large 20" one with my bichirs and cichlids and it competed just fine for food. It was eating hikari gold sinking just like everyone else, and it was a good eater.

Really? That sounds cool, was it mean?
 
No it was actually really dumpy and almost oblivious to anything going on that didn't involve finding food. there were times it would tie itself in a knot around the spray bar, or if it ate floating pellets, ti would float for a few hours haha

Very cool animal, I recommend it.
