all the videos I see they only uncurl them selves when they eat or to strech then they hide again
I know, but I figure being 6ft long would make up for it, in a 4’ tank I wouldn’t have fish longer than the width
I think that’s mostly true, I’ve had smaller spiny eels and I used a red light to check the tank at night and they were pretty active along the bottom. You probably could get away with it in a 75 it’s whole life, but I wouldn’t, but I think in the 125 you are totally fine.
