gillette, wy
im tearing down my 75 salt and going back to fw again and im looking for some black substrate that isnt eco complete to use that will be safe for cory cats or loaches. Any suggestions?

i thought about tms but im not totally sold on it. nightstorm, have you used the specraquartz? before i go buy 100lbs of it il like to hear from someone whose had it in a tank, but it looks like the right stuff

tahitian moon stone is mad expensive bro

I just washed 100 pounds of tahitian moon sand and it scraped the hell out of my knuckles. I use fluorite black sand on one of my tanks and it's great but super pricey.

I don't know it will work for you but I have 3m color quartz. It's getting harder to find since they quit making it but I know my local store has some left in stock.

I've tried to find reviews from people who've used it firsthand myself. So far I've only talked to one guy who has used it and he gave it his seal of approval. This is his thread on the stuff. He has pix of it in there.

If the 3M Colorquartz was still being made I would def go with that as I've heard a lot of good reviews about it. From what I've read Spectraquartz is similar.
