On the weekend i have picked up 3 6-8" red tail paraya, and i saw one black tail about 7-8" ...

it look nothing like scomb, or armatus...however it does look exactly like red tail paraya except its only black.

Anyone have seen or heard of these? I bought it for double the price of the 3 redtail.

?????

Color varient just like yellow tails.

If you do some digging you'll find that KRSWOP1 had one.

Not somthing ive heard of. Sounds awesome though.
I can just imagine how the blacktail will stand out amongst the others.

post some pics of your tat's--please. And good for you getting a school of them.

pics of this guy please!
ive only seen one.
which was KRSWOP's.
like DB said,if it looks like a redtial with a black tail, its a color variant.

Hey guys, just saw the post. Yeah I had one that was silver with a black tail instead of gold with a red tail. The group of redtails singled him out though and wouldn't let it be part of there group. Even prejudice exists in the fish world I guess. Sad that it got eaten by my old Lacerdae. I'll try to dig up some pics. It would have been cool to see what it would have looked like now.

He was nice :)

Thanks. He was actually a rescue from a LFS. I saw that he was different from my other tats and wanted to try to heal him up. Too bad the wolf decided to make a snack out of him before I could see him at 100%.
