Silver! Hands down... But I love any large Arowana that doesnt have torn fins or DE

I think our view of beauty is really distorted by the question of rarity, availability, and cost. I honestly believe that a full grown, no-DE, perfect condition silver beats any asian hands down. Of course, I would rather have an asian than a silver, but still...

Very good point, I still think a full grown silver with no Drop Eyes is one of the nicest things out there. Even nicer than those Asian Aros you see.

I know what you mean, at my LFS they have a silver about 2 1/2'. Its gills covers are all pulled back, really bad DE, greyish color (no pink), jaw goes way over the under bite level, and no barbels. So what I'm saying is that its a genetic mess.
