Any idea how large he is now? I am planning another tank, was thinking of another aimara, but not sure I can do that size tank again. I was thinking curupira but dont want a fish that stays small. Wouldnt mind one that gets between 24-30in.
 
Ugh.I found it dead in the tank today. That’s just devastating. I don’t know why it died. Last water change was a couple of weeks ago, filters are running just fine, heaters are working fine, no power outage, no change in stock, the wolf ate just fine until Thursday. Total mystery. Old age? I would’ve thought they get older than that. Oh man. I’m crushed.

Condolences. It's bad enough when you know there's a problem and can more or less see the end coming. Even worse when it comes as a total unexplained surprise. :(

Damn. That hurt me to hear, truly sorry that this happened to you. Your Curupira was one of my favorite fish on MFK. The epitome of "Monster Fish Keeping", just a remarkable specimen.

Things happen, problems with health occur even in the most hygienic of atmospheres, don't waste time blaming yourself. You did the best you possibly could. Sometimes even the best of preparation ends in an emergency.

While it is probably not what you want to hear right now, any time something is ending there is an opening for oppurtunity. Never quit HarleyK!

Oh no sorry to hear my friend. I love my curupira so I'd be devestated if he passed.
