black??

Can anyone tell me if this is a black??, I was told that it was a silver, but one of the lfs owners came by my house and said its a black arowna, can anyone tell. He has drop eyes though and is 30"

my silver looked like that (black fins) when I got it (24") but I started feeding it better foods and the pinks/orange/teal colors came back. What has your freind been feeding that fish, and what is the tank maintenance like?

I have him for about a month now, before I got him he was on meal worms and now I feed him pellets and beefheart. His black is showing more than before. I do water changes every 2-3 weeks 20%.

i'll stick with silver for now, but it will be easier to tell when we can see his body shape.
The fact that it has drop eye also points to silver.

You might want to kick the water changes up a little bit. I'm still trying to figure out whats up with those spots! lol

LOLOL same here, first I thought it he was deformed with its scale but now i dont know. will try to get pic asap, but the pbass like the camerea a lot
