Yep - silver. Drop eye and body shape looks more like a silver.

I might try throwing more shrimp, krill, etc. in to the diet. That may bring out some of the pinks and reds. Definately up the water change schedule though, especially with multiple aros and pbass.
 
I would definitely increase the water changes. Aros like good clean water.
 
for a more accurate identification, take some pictures with lights on and without using flash. for now it looks like a silver :)

if yours is a black, it will be the first black that i've ever seen that has drop eye. ;)
 
Yep,

It looks like a silver to me too. Also it is to my understanding that blacks don't get drop eye. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

all aros can get drop eye,

the drop eyes gives no sign that it is a silver


the body shape is enough to ID the fish.
