blacked out tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Depends on the fish you get. I have black sand and a black background. My Dats would disappear. My RCK and Chinese Perch fade into the background as well.

I personnaly love black on black. With my africans I was not nearly as dark with the gravel/ sand though. I geuss it would have been 3/4 Black with 1/4 natural light with white chips. Now with my centrals My mix is jet black gravel, black sand, And a little crushed snail shell and 1/16 natural light sand. My fish just pop. Even the pleco(Gibbesepts or hi fin spotted).

So as you can see I have tried vaarious things in regards to colors and backgrounds. But it always seems to end up black on black some how some way. By the way I own the Sydontius lace/ feather fin cat still and Thats it out of all these fish I pics of. I have smaller versions of most again. time to try a new group out. I do miss the Jags and the Carpinte the most though. By the way I thought with the Jags I may have had pair but they did the lip lock and spining fight for about 1 1/2 days solid. So didvided they lived.

Well there is my 2 cents. Later

It's ahorrible pics but you get the point. I was going to have all the decor black and it was going to be a tank for ablinos but I decided against it after I had it mostly setup. I could still do this however and just move the three fish that are now it it.
