Blacklight?

This may seem silly but I was going through my basement and came across a blacklight. From ahhhh my younger years. I was wondering if I could use this as moonlight for my tank. What do you guys think?

I tried it. Freaked the living hell out of my old arowanas and cause my jardini to go berserk in the tank and almost knocked the tops off! Makes your water look cloudy as heck and you can barely see your fish....

Black lights operate in the near ultraviolet range. Since I'm no expert on fishes nervous systems and how it reacts to different spectrums of light, I personally would be wary of doing it.

I've tried it in the past, the effect wasn't quite what i was looking for. Then i was adivsed against it on this board because it may potentially damage the eyesight of the fish.
