Has anyone here ever kept blacknose dace? I caught 3 small fish that im 90% sure are blacknose dace. They are in my 20 gallon by themselves right now, but I need to know how to care for them! I will post pictures tomorrow.

Ya they do, but their mouths are alot different. Suckers are more like carp, these actually open like "other" fish lol
They aren't blacknoses but you're close, the're longnose dace. A very close relative. I have only kept one and not for very long. He ate flakes, frozen fish foods and just about anything else you would feed any other fish. I do have blacknose dace though, very easy to care for. I will post more info from my book about the longnose tomorrow. I plan on posting a profile for the blacknose soon.
Ya after I saw a picture of a longnose I thought it looked more like it. Why did you only have yours for a little while?
Oh that sucks lol. There was a crawdad in the tank origionally, but now its in my basses stomache lol. There really neat little fish, when I put food in the tank they go into a feeding frenzy, like tiny sharks!
