Hmmm...Not the licorice gourami thread. It was the IAL thread. I guess growing old is not helping my memory. The water in the pics isn't dark yet because at that time, I just added the leaves and took the pics for the article.

wait im confused..lol..so if i get a oak leef in my yard and i just put it in the tank it will darken up ?

Yep. One leaf per 10g is sufficient enough.

That is indeed blackwater extracts but still very expensive when you can simply get peat moss, driftwoods, IAL or oak leaves.
