Blackwater, peat, or catappa Leaves ... you use it for your pbass tank ?

I have peat in the filters and drift wood... thats the best way. Well thats the way I do it and I'm pretty sure DM does it as well...

I also used almond leaves and soaked them in water before I added it to the tanks. It really softens the water and the pH seems to lower a lot quicker when I use it. The brown coloring goes away after a day or two due to the carbon in the filters...

I am suprise you are using carbon....
