Don't go moapi wood. I have a 9" piece in my 90gallon and it still stains the water and it will have been in there a year in october:what:

It doesn't stain the water, it just leeches tannins which lower the PH and help with amonia levels and is also good for your fish.
 
Leeching tannins still stain the water or else the water would be clear... but I know what you mean.

Its just annoying that moapi wood can leech tannins for up to a year or over?, I use to like tannis in the water but it became a little annoying when every visitor to your house tells you why don't you clean your fish tank it looks like soup lol:rolleyes:

Tried everything from almond leaves to peat. Nothing comes close for price and look.

I use a capful for 125 gallons every water change and its perfect. One bottle lasted me almost a year and at 9$/bottle that's 75 cents per month to keep a nice bw tank.
