blasting sand black

thanks...i might check out toysrus.....i already have black sand i got from my LFS in my 240 but theres only 2 20lb bags so it doesnt cover the bottom well.
 
I have read several threads about it, and I have only seen 1 person who actually used it and had problems with fish getting hurt on it. I have yet to see anyone who says it is dangerous have any first hand experience with it. I just set up what is going to be a cichlid tank with it, which is going through fishless cycle right now. No way would I ever spend aquarium supply prices on sand. All I can say is WASH IT WASH IT WASH IT. This stuff is dusty.

Nice i was thinking of doing my chiclid tank with some more of it ...I like it and as of now dont see any problems
 
i used both white and black diamond blasting sand for years (from menards) never had issues. like posted earlier i did the same thing rinsed good with pillowcase and buckets.
 
I've also have had sucess with it....2 yrs running and no problems......A 100lbs for $12..
