Blemish on "mid-devil"

To be honest, that looks a bit odd. Like actual bruises. What is in your tank, besides your midevil?

It's not bruises because its been there since he was about 2" long which is what really makes me scratch my head. His tankmates are a 9" Oscar a 6" Dempsey, a 6" female Carpintis and an 8.5" green terror...in a 240. He bullies the Carpintis and the dempsey a little bit, but he never gets bullied or picked on. These marks started to appear on him when he was alone in a grow out tank.

looks normal black pigmentation to me comes and goes on young fish.

I have a Midas with the same markings. Just left over black from his peel.

I agree just a black pigment that hasn't peeled yet my male still has one too its almost gone
