blind bichirs...lights out...

I have always found the "blind" bichir discussion interesting relating them to cave fish. Are not true "blind" cave fish white not dark?

They are white, because having colors are useless in an environment that is 100% dark all the time.

In nature bichirs live in normal light conditions and they tend to darken or lighten depending on their environment, so when they go blind they presume that they are just in a very dark environment and adjust their base color.
