I’ll be updating the progress on my cave tetras here. The biggest is currently about 1” and the smallest about .5”. Anyone have any information on them that can help me out a bit. I know quite a bit about them but still want to know more. 9679DA1A-7118-4008-B0E4-6B4DBFFA9739.jpegimage.jpgimage.jpg

Amazing…a tetra that can’t see goes for a fly…and my 360 degree vision puffers ignore their natural prey of snails lol.
Very cool school you have here! Looking forward to seeing how they progress!
Don’t even know how a fly managed to get under the tank lid but surprisingly it did and the tetra managed to get a hold of him. I’m currently feeding API bottom feeder pellets and blood worms but don’t think it’s the best to be feeding them, any suggestions

Always good to have a pellet as a staple.
I find that mysis shrimp is very nutritious (more so than brine shrimp and bloodworms) and fish go crazy over it.
Based on the teeth on these guys (and obvious food preference), I’d assume they have a meat heavy diet so lots of bugs are definitely good for them. Fluval bug bites is probably good to feed.
