Blind Texas Cichlid

Rocky was only blind...or what I determined as such for the last five years of his life. I had him in his own tank and hand fed him once a day. From what I read, I don't think your fish is blind. Generally if the fish has trouble seeing, you will actually see the occlusion or damage to the eye. I DO think something else might be going wrong. Fish don't need to see to eat. They do have other senses that will guide them to food. A fish that is just plain sick (fill in the blank, I could only speculate) may act odd like darting or flashing. My suggestion would be to put the fish in a hospital tank and run it through a cycle using Clout.

If the fish was blind, you would be able to see it in their eyes...no pun intended.
