I think get rid of the parrot.

I agree, and if you want another cichlid tankmate for the oscar look into a blue acara, which stays smaller than the oscar.

Go for a better cichlid, maybe a GT or Blue acara or somthing.

dont wait too long to separate things can go downhill fast
i keep a hospital tank and use dividers temporarily
i also dont like the look of a divided tank too much
plus some of my fish kept squeezing thru the divider into the beasts lair

the option i tend to go with is another tank
but when i had one tank i was the king of donating fish back to the lfs

also i agree that the Oscar is the one to keep, it will be your lil buddy
and be so happy you saved him or her from the meanie fish

How big are they?

Thanks everyone for your input. The BP is quite large...perhaps baseball size body. The Oscar is 4-5 inches I would say. I'll pass the information on.

Yeah, if i had to decide between the tqo i'd always choose the oscar.

get rid of the bp, trust me. i had one that killed an oscar, 2 green terrors, and started to go after my other oscar before i gave him away
