they had him labeled as a BP so i got him for $25 about 3 months ago. He had a mate in the tank with him and I was buying him for my 10 yr old that lost her mate. When I put him in, he swam around looking for HIS mate, while mine flirted with him. So i drove back and bought the other one for him. I felt bad. I think my other is a KK b/c hes getting huge. I have had him since he was the size of a quarter, and can't believe how much he's grown.
Oh honestly I don't know if it's male. Their tubes all look the same to me. But he's always bugging the one I thought is female, and is making the nest for her. But yea, most are infertile 
But hey, at least they can go thru the motions right? lol Thats always fun
