Blood Parrot Need to catch before winter rolls in

Okay went fishing today and my cousin is saying he sees a orange fish and im going must just be a goldfish that someone had used as bait but when i looked at it was a blood parrot i tried for about 2 hours to catch it does anyone have any ideas how to catch it we tried bait and fish food and even getting in the water to catch it.

or just a long handled net. Maybe lure it towards you with pellets

Try a bobber with a worm. Worked like a charm on all the cichlids I caught in Hawaii.

cast net, if you can learn to throw one that quick

Use a hook and squeeze the barb down with some pliers so you don't hurt him.

since they cant close their mouhs you cant use hooks. since they are stubby adn slowish, you should be able to catch one woth a big net.
