The whole point of the project is to create a fertile male Blood Parrot. The reason I am using a Midas is by breeding back to a parent species you should get some fertile fry. Once I get a fertile male from the batch, I plan on Breeding it back to a female Blood Parrot.

good luck finding a fertile male once you do have a spawn, its highly unlikely and I hope you prove me wrong.

Its actually more likely than you think. Breeding back to a parent introduces fertility.

True but breeding back to a parent species should introduce fertility. I will only grow out the parrot fry, any normal body fish will get culled.
