Blood parrot turns white

I recently got a 7"-8" BP that changes from red to white routinely. One day he's blood red and another day he's white again. Does anyone now what causes this and how to stop it. I'd prefer he stay red 24/7 since that's why I bought him

hahaha, i'm positive it's not dyed (for reasons already mentioned) but a varied diet and keeping the water params in check should help with the mood swings

prozac will help! If you look, you can find Hikari prozac enhanced sinking pellets....lol
