I have 2 female blood parrots who have paired up and are laying eggs it's becoming routine that every week after I preform a water change these two lay their eggs one the first week and then the other the second week they just continue down this path and I'm wondering if this is normal I mean they both guard and fan the eggs. they even take turns in playing the role of the male swimming over to fan or "fertilize" the eggs right after they have been laid.
Now I'm wondering if I should let this continue to happen? they have become way more agressive since I put them in my 180 and that's when they started laying every week vs. once or twice a month. Is this healthy I don't know if I should separate the two? Also the photo is from today something ate the eggs from last week before I took a pic that's when I originally thought to ask around on MFK.

Don't think they need em....they shoot blanks.
Yeah that and their both laying eggs. Lol what will happen if I introduce something like my male flowerhorn? Would one break off and try to pair up with him or would nothing change he shows interest in almost everything is why I ask.

Never know till you try. If you wanna get into breeding them, try one female at a time. Caution, you'll end up with more fry than you have room for...if your male is fertile.

It's exciting for the first batch any fish but unless your selling them or using them as feeders pretty much pointless. I had a Midas pair who kept breeding and I got sick of it. The fry would even make it alive in my overflow boxes and somehow make it to my sump. I would have to pick out dozens every few months at 1-2" and sell them. I did make a few hundred bucks though lol

Yeah I might breed a few batches with the flowerhorn he has red eyes and I think that has something to do with good fertility in most I'll probably just do it to keep a few of the nicer fry from one or two batches and separate the two maybe sell a few of the fry if anyone wants them and I guess it sucks for the supper low quality/ugly fish but feeders are necessary in every fish room. Lol I really wanna go catch a wild caught Texas cichlid being from Texas it seems pretty simple to breed some red Texas with these girls they seem like a really cool and sought after fish I shouldn't have a hard time ridding myself of any fry then and I've always wanted a real nice one for myself also should I just skip the flowerhorn and go for a Texas? Since hybrids are my only option.
