looking for input. do you all think that a FM and two Blood Parrots will do good with out stunting and such in a 29gal...i also have a 7-10 zebra danios. let me know you take on my 29gal situation. thanks all.

i have seen five in a 55gal and they all swam nice and easy no problems and they were full 6year old parrots...so thats why im thinking the 29 might be ok for just the two bloods and the danios and ill switch my fire mout to the 20L planted tank if i have to. casue right now the parrots are as big as my pink fingernail and the FM is an inch-inch and half at most.

For how long?

My two male BP's have outgrown the 55 they're in (NOTE< these fish are the only two in the tank and it is TOO small for them), but it took about a year anda half for them to outgrow it. All by themselves.
I just bought a 90 for them.

In my experience, each BP needs about 30 to 40 gallons just by themselves.

The females are smaller and need about 25 to 30 gallons to themselves. I currently have my female sharing a 50 gallon with a 2 year old Jack Dempsey. They have not outgrown the 50, but there is no room (based upon water quality) for other fish, and it needs a WEEKLY 70% water change.

The 5 that you saw were stunted. I'll bet that if you researched it, they didn't receive weekly water changes, or a varied diet.
You should try to remember that most BP's are a hybrid involving some LARGE fish. Gold Severum (NOT SMALL), Midas (not small), etc.
The 29 would be OK for a while. Depending on whether or not you have two males, two females or a pair.
Maybe as much as a year or more. I got mine when I THOUGHT they were full grown, and in the past two years they have tripled in size. Softball size and still growing.
The Danios WILL end up food..or at least bitten into pcs since the BP's have such little mouths. But again, not for a while.
Good luck and have fun, they're GREAT fish!!!

all right i guess i have some time to save up for another 125 to put the three of them in. thanks for input...if anyone else has any more info let me know. thanks all. and thanks for informing me that BP's are hybrids i had no idea that why i put them where i did in the SA&CA.
