so whats not functioning on a BP last time i checked they eat, they swim, they ****, they breed(you find ocassionally fertile males), now tell me that doesnt sound like a functioning fish...just cause most males shoot blanks who cares...theres plenty male humans that shoot blanks as well(we still consider them functioning humans):ROFL: :headbang2

good point lol. Maybe I should rephrase it as optimally functional. Their mouths don't close all the way. As you said many are infertile. They don't look comfortable swimming IMO. And I think that it is because of them that sooo many fish are dyed and tatooed. First ones I ever saw eithr operation done too. Tails cut off etc..... Just don't like ém you're more than welcome to keep ém but I think they are about the ugliest fish I have ever seen:) But different strokes for different folks. I feel the same way about convicts and they're not even hybrids. Just think they are ugly:nilly:

but I personally like them too!whats the difference between a BP and a king kong?
 
I don't enjoy BP or Jelly Beans. They were created to be abused. I try to stay away. I know my LFS will not sell them... Plan Jelly Beans are cute fish, but they are designed to be mistreated.
