Alright, Ive been doing some research on these guys lately because Ive been seriously pondering picking one up at NARBC coming up if i can find a good one. However, I've been having a hard time seeing the difference the the three subspecies of the bloods. Its hard to tell because whenever I google a specific blood python its popped up with all three types and being color blind doesnt help much in differentiating between them as well. What I'm asking for is some help in distinguishing between the different types, from what I can gather I think that I am partial to the red blood (dunno the proper name) but i cant be one hundred percent certain. Also which one of the species gets the largest? Just any help or advice in general on these guys is greatly appreciated.

i would go with the red blood because they mellow the easiest. i'd say the reds are red the borneos are darker and the sumatran short tails are black. all should be about the same size...

go to bloodpythons.com kara is awesome and has some amazing animals.
also has her specifically labelled
gl man

i think they all stay close to the same size. bloodpython.com has a lot of info on the site as scalesandfins stated to go to. kara answered many question i had when i decide to buy one. i love mine. may even try to breed her soon.
