Agreed.

whereabouts was the fish located?

most of the pics you see on the internet of stunning looking red asian aros dont always look like the picturs in the flesh as the pics are taken with lots of artifical lights

most people go for xback or RTG as they are faster to develop and you can see a stunning looking fish in under 2yrs with a red it can take upto 7yrs for the fish to show full potential so reds aremore of a risk

Certain reds produced in some of the Indo farms manifest their redness quickly. As a rule, most reds require patience...sometimes as long as 5 or more years to acquire a good color. Red aros are more prone to water chemistry then other Asian aros. It is not uncommon to discover a red aro turn pale after a water change. It can be very challenging maintaining the redness & further enhancing it. Blood reds (BR), Chilis reds (CR) etc. all belong to the Super red family.

and red grow larger than other types of asian aros

the price for a RED should be around £1200-1500 so in US$2400-3000 MAX

crappy banjar 1.5 reds are about £250-300
greens £90-150
RTG £350-600
xbacks £1200 +

Yes they are bigger then most Asian aros except greens can be quite bigger in size especially certain strains of green.
