Sting rays are fine with salt just not a good idea to keep the levels high for long periods of time all my rays experience salt with no problems. When i had a problem with blood in the eyes there was no salt in my system at all. I added salt and problem went away in a few days.

My male had it 2 years ago, i though it was from a sting in the eye by my female. I could see a little hole on the suface of his eye. It cleared up about three days later and his eye has been fine since then.

I hame seen this happen before from mixing or using the wrong chemicles, a friend of mine lost two tigers & a flower from mixing different ph stabilizers & water conditioners etc... It seems like someone is using too much of one thing or mixing a whole bunch of other things... I have 18 rays & have been keeping them for about 15yrs & I have always used prime & ph 7.0 from Seachem with no issues.

salt does work. i kept my motoros in tank with salt for over a year. just that i realized they like it better without salt. there more active. and seems like thye eat more. dont know its just my opinion. but i needa go buy a test kit :(
