yeah, hot water will denature the proteins, sucking away what little nutritional value the blood worms already have

they're tastier this way! Wait, that was just for HIM.

In my larger tanks I will mix up whatever the concoction of the day is (usually some mixture of beefheart, krill, glass worms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, bloodworms and a few other things I have floating around the freezer).

For specimen tanks and smaller tanks I spot feed with tweezers, less mess

started to use a turkey baster thsi week as i have a new fish that hasnt quite learned where and when feeding time is. other wise, i normally just chuck them in. where they thaw and land is where they land.

I take the chunk of frozen bloodworms or whatever else and rub it between my fingers in the tank. It defrosts quickly and you can control it's release. No difference between that and melting it in a net or whatever, except it's faster.

Some people are allergic to the juices, so be careful doing that.

I just drop them in right infront of my power head.,., by the time that thing blows em across the length of the tank.,., theyre pretty well thawed out and falling apart about 10 -15 seconds.,., never had a problem like that.,.,., Beefheart on the other hand.,., I do thaw out in a paper cup with a little tank water.,., just cause it seems like a firmer denser block of food

spizz, I think lupe was referring to when the fish gulps a frozen cube. (although that happens more often with oscars than loaches.)
