are they easy to breed? im thinking about picking up a male and seeing if they will breed in my 55. i also want to get a jag will they be ok together?

You can breed JD's alone in a 55 gallon, but adding a Jag to that setup will end in disaster.

But adding a Jag with just the oscar and female JD may work if you have at least a 100 gallon tank. It may take a bit of experimenting.

Is there a gap in the top fin? It looks like it. Still a nice fem Jack dempsy!

yeah its a gap, i asked this earlyer in my post about this. i havent seen a pic of a JD with a gap in the dorsal fin. it looks like its meant to be there not like a nipped fin. has anyone seen this before:screwy: also i bought another JD today a little 1.5 incher hard to tell the sex and take a picture of. hopeing its a male. i noticed a little white sore looking thing where his right side fin (srry ima noob with the finnage terms) meets his body. there were others at the lfs with the same thing i asked buddy to grab one without it but he was a douche. anyone know what it could be. it doesnt seem to bother him.
