Thanks for the feed back.

Their permanent home will hopefully be in a 8'3'30". This is something I am saving for.

8'x3'x30' :WHOA: That will be too mucken fuch :nilly: Good luck with the saving and I can hardly wait to see your dream tank :headbang2

I can not wait to put together my dream tank either. I already have my dream fish growing them all out from babies.:D

In the end my dream tank will be layered with fish with driftwood. I am selecting my driftwood imho tastefully and carefully, rushing is not my thing.

Top level
Black arowanas

Mid level
shoal of wide bar silver dollars .
a few thin bars
some IT NTT datnoides

Bottom
My army will be well over 60 one day
an army of clown loaches

So far I have collected all these fish raising them slowly but surely. Arowana's were last on my list cause I have read that they are very aggro and its the luck of the draw to have them coexist. I guess I am lucky but I am not out of the woods yet:nilly:

if youre as careful in selecting and assembling your dream tank, as you were with your selection and collection of your stock- I think youll have a real feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction, knowing you raised them all from juveniles-
it seems to me, the only way to top yourself now, is build that 450g yourself, from scratch! and if you comeback with " Im not a woodworker"- less than a year ago, I remember you learning all you could about black arowanas, but not having even 1- today youve got a successful community of blacks, and you managed, somehow, to get them through one of the most aggressive periods of their life- very impressive job

Thanks for the kind words. This really means a lot to me.

Believe me I have plans of building my stand already out of Hickory wood cause I love the knots and the rustic look. As for building my own acrylic tank, I pondered this idea too learning as much as I can online and it does not really seem that difficult. Its just the time frame and the mess I would make. The wife would rather have me save up and buy a monster tank then build one.

I just hope these blacks will be OK as they grow up together. Out of the 5, 1 is really large and thick and of course there is a runt in the group that is picking on all the aro's.:screwy:

Happy Holidays.
