Can you all give me the general info on blue arows please. I looked them up online but the info is contradicting.
The one i may get is 4-5 inches.
1. What is the average growth rate?
2. How long till 3 feet?
3. Average price?
4. What is the average length when full grown in an aquarium. Most fish are smaller in aquariums then wild.
5. Tank mates

First there is no such thing as a blue aro. It is all made up. They are actually black aros.

Second there is all the information in the stickies at the top of the section. If your on a phone it is a separate tab on the top above the media section link.

1. What is the average growth rate?
Fairly good if you look after them properly.

2. How long till 3 feet?
Quite some time.

3. Average price?
How long is a piece of string?

4. What is the average length when full grown in an aquarium. Most fish are smaller in aquariums then wild.
Sadly you're right, this has more to do with people keeping them in too small a tank than anything.

5. Tank mates.
Yes.

Ok thank you! How long would it be able to live in a 150g tank with a 55g sump and 2 hob filters and a fluidized sand bed filter

if you get it small you could get 1.5 maybe 2 years but again this is just a guess, maybe you could keep it there for alot longer it depnde on the fish and its growth rate

If i do get it it is 4-5in and the lfs owner said it would take around 2-5 years for it to grow out. But i really like have aggressive cichlids and the arow wouldn't survive :( so ill prob pass it up. They want $50 for it

50 bucks is a pretty good price for a 5" black aro. It would do better if you started it in a slightly smaller tank by itself first and got it eating well before adding it with the cichlids. The young black aros can be quite skittish and may never grow out of it. I've had one that would grab food from my fingers and and another that wouldn't eat till I stepped back. Guess which one grew faster? Haha. I'd say get it and you can keep it in a 150 for maybe a little over a year and a half comfortably but then you'd want to upgrade to something that's at least 30" wide

What is the reg price for a 4-5incher? I have a spare 55 i could put it in? How long could it live in there? When it gets to big for the 150 i would have to sell it. How much is the average price for a 15-17" black arow

Less than two years, probably 18 months in the 150g. Sump/filtration is irrelevant, it's the length that matters. My very first black grew to about 22" in a 5x2x2' 150g and was looking pretty cramped when I sold the whole set up (fish included), ideally you would want to upgrade by the time the fish gets to around the 20" mark.
