Like what???
like you :) juz kidding

I mean a subadult/ an adult black arowana looks like/ exactly the same as your pics show...

if you don't like to call it black arowana, you could call it blue arowana~ juz a common name, take it easy :D

You can call them whatever you like. Here at my house the 4 baby blacks are known as the "Tilleys" :screwy: Black, Blue or Tilley it still boils down to, they are all the same Osteoglossum ferreirai.

do black arowanas have their black/blue tails when they are adults? or do they fade away? (That's what I've heard)

Check out my pics in my Gallery mine is around 1 1/2 to 2 years old that will give you an idea how the colors change from when they are younger.

blue/black SA aros are the same fish

BUT

expect to pay more for a aro labeled as blue in a shop

for sum reason shops think if a fish is labeled blue or red its worth more
