oh yea. i forgot about our friends across the pond. I agree with perfect.

you would need to keep the heater goin all year around.. i dont know what its like where you come from in the uk but it gets cold where i am . even colder at night. then you have are winters to think about. good luck with what ever you do.

Id keep a heater in there just to make sure it doesn't dip too low, but remember that channels ARE cold water fish. They are native to cold running rivers, as well as warmer lakes. Channels are hardy fish and can survive in a wide range of environments, you just don't want them to turn into icecubes in your pond ;)

since it isnt a rectangle it is a circle you should be just fine to keep them in that pond at mature size. it is 60" across, they will only get 36-possibly48" prob. closer to the 36" so as long as you have plenty of filtration you will be fine. wouldnt put more than 2 in though. that would be a little cramped. the cold temp is not a prob. channels spend 4-5 months a year in 45-50 degree f. (10 c) water here. they are perfectly adapted to it.

do anybody know were to get a flathead catfish or bule channel catfish or ablino channel catfish in the uk
thanks

Channels can grow pretty fast... depends on what your comparing them too... not as fast as an RTC or TSN but faster than a lot of the other cats...
