I really really want a Blue Dempsey. Do you think that they are too easy going for a Texas? I want to buy one or two to grow out for the big tank eventually.. but I am worried the Texas will just kill it. He is about 4-5" right now.. and I had to give away his mate b/c he almost killed her. So far the Frontosa holds its own against him, but the front is going soon...

I know JD's grow slowly, so I am worried the Texas will claim the tank and never allow any mates... But I really want an Electric Blue...

What do you think could it work? These things cost about $50 each so I dont want him to just kill them off.. thanks.

Does anyone have any experience with these two together?

Thank you!! I'll see if they have any nice stock today!!! :)

they arent really good fish to mox....the blue dempseys are really docile and fragile supposedly

mine live together and have for months. the texas is 10+inches and the blue dempsey is only like 4ish. just my experience.

I did pick up an EBJD on Sunday.. Here are pics of the lil bugger.. He/She is growing out in my 29 gallon w/the crays...
