The one I have is a wuss. Runs into his hideout everytime I go near the tank. I've never seen him eat, but I'm sure he does, he's not dead yet.

I have one and love him!! Great fish vey tough and not sensitive at all! I have never even lost one in the LFS i work in..and our tanks are kind of crowded
Real hard to get a picture, he's so shy. He's about 5". Picked him up while on a fish shopping trip to a distant LFS. He was the sole JD in a tank of oscars. Think the price was $20 if I remember correctly, bought several fish that day.
treat it as a normal JD as its just a colour variation.
