He has blue devils listed?

Lots of stuff trying to be new these days.. White Beani (not white), new locations (but same fish), European festaes, blue devils.....

Those need something new should take on some FHs.

Yes, under labiatus-barred.

white beani= white beani, it is white as an adult and its parents were white.

new locations (vontehillo I presume you are referencing)= it is a new location variant, as has been stated

"european" festae = ecuadorian festae being bred by someone in europe and imported to the USA (as stated)

blue devils = barred labiatus, have been listed as that for over 2 years

nothing NEW at all in this list. I guess some people just take stuff too literally and expect (or dont understand that) named fish are named what they are based on their adult specimens...not what they look like as fry and think that its not possible for new locations for fish to be found? I dont get it...

I guess it is called marketing, same stuff (nothing NEW, your words) but a new label. I guess it had to come to regular cichlids, flowerhorn guys were master marketers.

I've got a book from the 80's (by Sands) that lists one of the names of labiatus as "Blue Devil." Nothing new about that name......other than I hadn't seen it used for a decade or so until Rapps used it on his list a couple of years ago.

Actually, it's a pretty boring name. Armac is right, the flowerhorn guys need to come up with a name for them! Sales would TRIPLE!

Who said anything about needing something new? i have 10+ years in this hobby so "blue devils?" are nothing "new" to me.I dont see how your post contributes to this thread.

I didn't take your comments in the way it seems Fahaka did. Weren't you talking about the marketing tactics of sellers and not that Fahaka needed something new?
