I have a empty 15Gal tank which i have been thinkng on putting a Blue Freshwater Lobster in it , i know they reach sizes of 8inch put i am not sure on the min' tank for one .

Do you think i could put a Blue Freshwater Lobster in a 15Gal tank for life or not ?

Plus do you think i could put any other fish in with one in the 15Gal ?

Depends what species of cray???

I currently have Big Daddy in a 15 gal. He's not to far off full grown.
Does look a little cramped in there when I put in driftwood / hidy holes etc.
15 gal should be fine for a few yrs to life. Prison.......
I would rec just a little larger if possible. You might want 2 crays :D

Ya fish are bound to get eaten.....does keep the tank interesting however!!!

Thanks for you help , the Website i can get them off just call them Blue Freshwater Lobster so i am not sure if thats what the ture name is for them , it does say they get to around 8inch fully grown but had no info' on tank size and/ or tank mates .

Any other help ? please post .

No fish with crayfish. Crays are ambush predators and I would never risk one to a crayfish at all. Keep the crayfish by themselves only.

ok thanks Lupin .

Still not sure if i should get one or not , a 8inch animal in a 2x1x1foot tank !

A nice size puffer will work in the tank for a little while.:D J/K

I feel I'd be cramped there.lol Why not get a larger tank or is it not possible because of space?

Space and money .

I have room to get a 3foot tank but as i am trying to save all my money for the Trop' pond , i dont want to spend much of what i am saving on a new tank .

I have all the stuff for the 15Gal tank , Eg - filter , heater , Ect .
So if i choose to get a fish or Lobster , it will only cost about £8.00 instead of paying £300.00+ on a new tank , stand , filters and other stuff for it .

Go the Cray!!! :headbang2
